Orientation at NC State!

In late June, we arrived on the campus of NC State for student and parent orientation.  We had two great days here getting to know the staff and campus.  Here are a few highlights.

Tucker Hall will be Elise's new home beginning in August.

This is the view of Tucker Hall from the 'beach' side.  Opposiet Tucker Hall is its twin, Owen Hall which was Steve's dorm when he attended NCSU.  Every year, the two dorms compete for naming rights of the beach.   Elise feels confident that the beach will be known as Tucker Beach this year.

Greg checks in with the "Strolling Professor."  This is a statue of chemistry professor William R. Johnston.  Many NC State chemistry students rub the professor's head on the night before their first chemistry test for luck.

While touring the dorm rooms of Owen Hall, Steve obtained entry into his old room and we all squeezed in!

Aside from hanging out with the 'wolf pack' . . .

One of the highlights of the visit was a trip to the Tally Student Center where we enjoyed Howling Cow ice cream made at NC State.  Check it out  the university has its own cows and ice cream!
